Conservatory Glazing Options
When designing your
conservatory, the choice of glazing is one of the most important decisions you will make. To enable you to make the most of your conservatory all year round, you need a glazing material that deflects the heat of the sun in summer whilst retaining the warmth in the winter. You may also want to allow maximum light in to your home, or alternatively you may like more privacy from the neighbours
Conservaglass
Conservaglass represents a new generation of glass for the Ultraframe conservatory roof. Not only does it keep the conservatory cool in summer and warm in winter it also features a self cleaning coating on the glass (externally), which uses the power of the sun and ray to break down dirt, meaning your conservatory stays cleaner for longer.
Conservaglass is available in Subtle Blue or Neutral Clear, and it can even be used in your windows. Ultraframe Home Improvements also offer a variety of lower specification glasses, but if you want to make the most out of your conservatory ensure you specify Conservaglass.
Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate is a lower cost alternative to glass and is available in a variety of colours including Clear, Opal, Bronze, Bronze/Opal and Solarguard. The polycarbonate glazing is also available in 25mm or 35mm,
Polycarbonate glazing reduces the suns glare in the conservatory and also reduces the amount of solar energy getting in to the conservatory. there is a polycarbonate to suit all situations. If you are thinking about having a polycarbonate roofed conservatory please talk through the needs of your conservatory with our home improvement specialists here at Ultraframe who will ensure you get the right polycarbonate to suit your needs, whether it be reduced solar glare or improved solar heat gain.
